Accessible Voter Guide 2026

The 2026 U.S. General Election is rapidly approaching, making it more important than ever to ensure everyone’s voice is heard through voting. People with disabilities represent a significant segment of the electorate. In 2024 an estimated 40.2 million people with disabilities were eligible to vote1. Voter participation among Americans with disabilities has steadily increased over the past several election cycles. Turnout rose from 55.9% in 2016 to 61.8% in 2020, and remained strong in the 2024 Presidential Election, when 20 million voters with disabilities cast ballots, representing a 61.1% turnout rate among eligible voters with disabilities. This reflects strong civic engagement among the disability community2.

To help educate and support the community ahead of the elections, we have compiled a voter guide with state specific resources on accessible voting. In addition to your local board of elections, use this guide to ensure you have clear and accurate details about voting requirements and procedures in your state.
