In celebration of Women’s History Month, Disability EmpowHer Network and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation will be teaming up on a new blogging initiative to uplift the voices of women and girls with disabilities.
The blogging program is open to girls and women with paralysis who have a story to tell and want help developing their story. Disability Empowher Network will help women craft their ideas and hone their writing skills. Every month two individuals will work with an editor from Empowher Network to develop their blog ideas into fully written pieces. Their editor is a proud disabled woman who can provide peer support and advice throughout the writing and editing process. The blogs will be published on the Reeve Foundation website.
“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation on this empowering initiative,” said Stephanie Woodward, Executive Director of Disability EmpowHer Network. “Not only does this amplify voices of women and girls with disabilities, but this program will help to hone writing skills, build confidence, and provide paid opportunities for disabled women and girls. At Disability EmpowHer Network, we know that when disabled girls lead, we all succeed - and this blogging program will help many disabled girls and women on their paths to success.”
